StarView Winery

Gear up to taste some of the best wines that StarView vineyards have to offer, while making a pit stop at the establishment’s StarView Vineyards’ Art Gallery. These wines have not only been awarded with multiple accolades, but they also complement the artwork around you and give you a wholesome feeling. Not only are you given the opportunity to view the works of local artists, but you can also venture off alone to view the wildlife scattered around the estate. Sit around the large koi pond and feel yourself relax and your stress wear off.

StarView’s vineyards cover over 7 acres and produces 7 types of grapes, including both French Hybrid and Native American varities. What’s more is that 90% of the wine that is brewed at StarView is made specifically from the grapes grown on the property itself. It is safe to say that StarView is one of the best wineries in Southern Illinois, winning multiple awards and accolades. These wines range from either being full bodied reds or being dry and crisp white wines like the 2014 Chardonel. This wine is not only entwined with the undertones of fresh green apple and pear, but it has also got a tinge of lemon rind finish.

Hailed as one of the premier destination wineries in the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, StarView vineyards have not only entertained thousands of guests and customers, but it has also hosted weddings, parties, and art exhibitions. The estate is also lax on a few notes, so your furry little friend can accompany you on your weekend getaway. Don’t forget to try out the delicious homemade food available at the vineyard, or you can bring along a basket full of your own food. And do not forget to make a quick visit to the gift shop at the end of your trip to grab some souvenirs and memorabilia!
